WEEKLY LIVE EVENTS. PHYSICALLY DISTANCED.
MUSIC AT THE MARKET
Music At The Market kicked off Wednesday, September 16 at the newly renovated Owen Sound Farmers’ Market Square and ran for 8 weeks. Presented by the City of Owen Sound, this free physically distanced series of outdoor musical concerts, featured live music performances every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 12pm – 2pm at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market. #MusicattheMarket featured some of the best musical talent from Owen Sound, Grey County and the surrounding area, reinforcing Owen Sound’s rightful place as a major hub for Ontario’s music and arts scene.
#MusicattheMarket was designed to build community and provide a place where people could connect safely through music during the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the series, our residents have shown what it means to be good neighbours during these challenging times. #MusicattheMarket has not only brought joy into our residents’ lives, it has also been a lifeline for the many small businesses and restaurants in the downtown Owen Sound core, as people return safely to explore and shop while taking in the free concerts.
#MusicattheMarket would like to extend its gratitude to the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) for the funding that made this event possible. We would also like to extend a big THANK YOU to the artists for their amazing performances, and above all, sincere thanks to the fans who came together as a community to support this concert series and helped make #MusicattheMarket a success!
